One price

We take the negotiation out of hiring a fence contractor.

Answer a few quick questions, tell us where to send it, and see your price right away. Pre-vetted contractors already compete in the book, so the number you see is the price. No haggling. No back-and-forth bids.

Every crew is vetted and insured.

And FenceOwl stays with you around the clock until the fence is finished. We're here to be your advocate and spokesperson with the contractor, and to make sure the whole process goes smoothly. These are company promises, not a contractor slogan.

We only work with family-owned American companies. We believe they offer the best service at the best prices.

How we vet contractors
  • Vetted

Every contractor is reviewed by FenceOwl before they can buy a job.

  • Insured

Liability insurance is required on every crew we match.

  • 24/7 support

FenceOwl stays on the line with you, day or night, until the project is done.

On your lot

A line you can see before anyone orders posts.

The estimate opens a satellite photo of the address. Click each corner of your fence line. We'll measure the sides for you. Drag a corner to adjust it, and switch between 4 ft, 5 ft, and 6 ft. Walk gates and drive gates count separately. Linear feet update as the line changes.

The contractor verifies exact measurements on your booked date and calls 811 so there are no surprises with buried utility lines.

Why FenceOwl exists

Built by a fence contractor who was tired of slow numbers.

Jackson has spent years setting posts. Homeowners waited days for a price that still moved once someone stood in the yard. Answer a few quick questions, tell us where to send it, and see your price right away. A vetted contractor then confirms it and builds you a beautiful fence.

The company promise is simple: every matched crew is vetted and insured, and FenceOwl stays available around the clock until the fence is finished. We only work with family-owned American companies. We believe they offer the best service at the best prices. Contractors are licensed where the city requires it.

  • The number comes after you tell us where to send it

Answer a few quick questions, tell us where to send it, and see your price right away.

  • The crew is already in the book

Matching stays inside contractors who cover your city, your tier, and your style, then breaks ties on quality score.

  • Someone stays reachable

FenceOwl support is a company promise, 24/7, for the whole project. It stays with you alongside the contractor.

The path

Three beats, from the photo to the visit.

  1. 01

    Address, fence, style, and budget

Search the address, click each corner of the fence line on the satellite photo, and watch the footage update. Choose height, gates, a style, and a $, $$, or $$$ tier. No price is shown yet.

  2. 02

Tell us where to send it

A few questions cover timeline, whether you own or rent, HOA, and whether this is a new fence, a replacement, or a repair. Then your name, email, and phone.

  3. 03

    Your price, right away

The range and the itemized quote show on the next screen, and a copy is emailed. You can book a visit when the job matches. FenceOwl support stays available 24/7. You do not pay on the site.

Questions

Before you draw the line.

Warranty language follows the budget tier you pick. Confirm city notes with your city.

How does an instant estimate work?

The steps are address, fence, style, budget, then contact. Answer a few quick questions, tell us where to send it, and see your price right away. The price shows on the next screen, and we email you a copy.

Is the number a final contract price?

It's an estimated price based on vetted contractors in your area. The matched contractor confirms footage, the property line, and site conditions on the visit before anyone treats it as the job price. The price for the line you drew stays put.

How long does a typical fence take to build?

Most residential runs in this market are a one- to three-day build once materials are on site and the city or HOA has cleared the plan. Weather, gates, and haul-away can stretch that.

What warranty comes with each budget tier?

These crews are carefully vetted for quality work and craftsmanship, but they use cheaper materials that don't carry a warranty and they won't warranty the work either. The product is good for an under 10 year timeline. Everyone still carries the necessary insurance and any license their city requires. Contractors at this tier may not accept credit cards or offer financing. $$ is a working warranty and a company that follows up. $$$ is full warranty, higher-grade material, and a crew that stays with the job after the last post.

Are the crews licensed and insured?

Every crew FenceOwl matches is vetted and insured. Contractors are licensed where the city requires it. FenceOwl support stays available 24/7 until the project is finished.

Who are your contractors?

We only work with family-owned American companies. We believe they offer the best service at the best prices. Family-owned means majority owned and operated by one family. American-owned means majority owned by U.S. citizens or permanent residents and based in the U.S. Every crew is also vetted and insured. Ownership proof is kept on file.

How do HOA rules and permits fit in?

The estimate asks whether you are in an HOA and whether the fence is already approved. Your city and your HOA still have the last word.

Can I finance the fence?

Most of our contractors above the bottom budget tier offer financing for new fences.

Which fence styles can I price?

Styles include cedar dog-ear privacy, craftsman cedar, wood picket, vinyl privacy, vinyl semi-privacy, composite (Trex and similar, on the higher budgets), ornamental aluminum, iron (ornamental), split rail, chain link, and a custom description. Cedar dog-ear is the standard option. Craftsman cedar is the upgraded privacy style, on the higher budgets. Chain link opens galvanized, on $ and $$, and black vinyl-coated, on $$ and $$$. Those styles include 4 ft, 5 ft, and 6 ft, except split rail. Split rail is an open wood post-and-rail fence for acreage and property lines, about 4 ft as 2-rail or 3-rail, with optional wire mesh and the same walk and drive gates as the other styles.

Who checks the property line and the utilities?

The quote tells the contractor to confirm the property line, if possible, and to request 811 utility locates before anyone digs.

What the flow is written to feel like.

Not live reviews

  • I traced the side yard on the satellite photo. After I shared my phone number, the range and the visit times were on the quote.

    Maya R.

  • The $$ tier spelled out the warranty in plain language. I added stain and haul-away and the total moved with them.

    Owen K.

  • The HOA questions were in the flow, with a clear note to confirm both before materials were ordered.

    Lena V.

  • Support is listed as a FenceOwl promise, day and night, separate from whichever contractor buys the lead.
