How we price

The price comes from a local contractor
FenceOwl matches your address, fence style, and budget tier to a vetted contractor who covers that work. The number you see is that contractor's own price book, not a national average and not a guess from FenceOwl.
What goes into the number
The book has a rate for each foot of fence, by style and budget tier. Walk gates and drive gates are added on their own. Removal of an old fence, a sloped yard, and optional add-ons are added when they apply. A flat yard does not add a slope charge. If you are not sure about the slope, the estimate uses a slight slope and marks that on the quote so the crew can check it.
What can change at the visit
The visit is where the contractor checks the property line, the real footage, the grade, gates, access for materials, and anything underground. If the yard is steeper than the answer you gave, or the line is longer, the price can move. The contractor confirms the final price on site before you agree to the job.
What you pay FenceOwl
Homeowners pay nothing to FenceOwl for the estimate or the match. You pay the contractor for the fence. There is no charge on this site to see your price.
